Odd News: Top McCain Officials Are Oil Company lobbyists!

Gee, i thought McCain said he was going to change Washington!
John McCain has Oil Company lobbyists working for him!

The two lobbyists are Wayne Berman, McCain's national finance co-chairman, and John Green, who's been the McCain campaign's chief Congressional liaison since March. Both men worked for a firm called Ogilvy Government Relations. The firm has been paid $800,000 by Hess from 2005 up to the present, including $720,000 during the period that both of the two lobbied for the company, the forms say.

"That John McCain's campaign also has Hess lobbyists as two of its top advisers raises additional questions about how McCain and the RNC came to raise $300,000 from Hess employees, including the controversial contribution reported earlier this week," said David Donnelly of Campaign Money Watch.

Vanity Fair Estimates Cindy McCain's Outfit Cost $313,000

Vanity Fair Estimates Cindy McCain's Outfit Cost $313,000

The outfit Cindy McCain wore on the opening day of the Republican National Convention cost between $299,100 and $313,100, Vanity Fair estimates.

McCain's gold Oscar de la Renta dress cost $3,000 and her heels cost $600, the magazine reports, but it was the accessories that made the ensemble a pricey gambit.

The potential first lady wore three-carat diamond earrings worth an estimated $280,000 as well as a four-strand pearl necklace with a price range between $11,000–$25,000.

She completed the look with a $4,500 Chanel J12 White Ceramic Watch.

"She appreciates very well-made clothes and that have rich, luxurious fabrics," Sasha Iglehart, Glamour magazine's deputy fashion director told the Associated Press. "Such clothes could wear the person and she seems to be able to carry it off."

McCain was accompanied by First Lady Laura Bush, who donned a white Oscar de la Renta suit with a price tag of $2,500. Her Stuart Weitzman heels cost $325 and her pearl stud earrings reportedly cost between $600 and $1,500.
