Charges dropped against Fla. men in sidewalk feud

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- Prosecutors have decided to drop charges against two men who got into a raucous fist fight at a St. Petersburg City Council meeting. Frederick Dudley and Ronald Deaton were arrested in October after they began throwing punches during an argument over a decision to privatize a public sidewalk. University decriminalizes sidewalk chalk


TUCSON, Arizona - The University of Arizona says it will no longer cite students for criminal damage for using chalk to mark on sidewalks. The policy shift was prompted by the arrests of two university students who used chalk during a rally protesting cuts to public education last week.
