Woman allegedly tosses baby into SUV to block repo

DALLAS (AP) -- A woman is accused of throwing her year-old son into her SUV in a failed attempt to stop the vehicle from being repossessed in Dallas. Krystal Gardner of Tool was jailed Wednesday on bail of nearly $3,800 on charges including child endangerment related to abandonment, no driver's license and no insurance. Man killed when SUV plows into restaurant

EL CAJON, California - Authorities say a 66-year-old man eating breakfast at a California fast-food restaurant was killed when a vehicle plowed through the corner of the building. El Cajon Police Lt. Jeff Davis says the man was sitting in a front corner booth at a Carl?s Jr. in San Diego County on Sunday morning when a Honda CRV slammed into the restaurant. The 74-year-old driver, a resident of El Cajon, was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.

SUV hits Texas church before Sunday service

GILMER, Texas – Three people were injured when an SUV crashed into a church in eastern Texas just as the service was about to start.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Kenneth Nolley told the Tyler Courier Times Telegraph that the SUV crashed into the auditorium of the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Gilmer on Sunday morning. Nolley said the driver indicated she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake.

Nolley said the driver would not be cited because the accident happened on private property.

The driver was not injured. However, three other people, including two children, were taken to hospitals. All were treated and released.
