Odd News: Inmate bitten on penis by rodent may sue
New York - A man who says a rat bit his penis during a jail stay may sue county officials, a judge has ruled. Peter Solomon, who said he later had to endure a course of rabies jabs, says jailers knew the ward in which they placed him was infested with rodents. He says the jail was negligent and mistreated him because he is black. Lawyers for Nassau County sought to have the suit dismissed stating its experts said they saw no evidence of serious injury. Moscow - A wounded fox shot its would be killer in Belarus by pulling the trigger on the hunter’s gun as the pair scuffled after the man tried to finish the animal off with the butt of the rifle. Police have six-hour standoff with unconscious man
Massachusetts - A suspect in a Massachusetts armed robbery was taken into custody and hospitalized for a drug overdose after a state Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team was called to a Nichols Road residence. Jeremy Q. Curtis, 40, of Hanover, Mass., was taken into custody and then brought to Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro following a six hour incident during which Curtis was unconscious. More…

Odd News-Man shoots self in buttocks after threat

Montana - A man accused of sticking a pistol in his girlfriend’s mouth accidentally shot himself in the buttocks after he shoved the gun down the back of his pants. 27-year-old Johnathan William Hartman and his girlfriend had been arguing. The woman said that Hartman stuck the gun in her mouth and threatened to kill her before firing a shot next to her ear. Odd News-Rat takes cigarette to bed with him, starts fire

UK - A pet rat named No Name triggered a fire in his beer can-strewn cage when he stole a smoldering cigarette butt from an ashtray and took it to bed with him. Miraculously, No Name survived the cage blaze and was found scampering around the floor at owner Nelly Banks’s apartment.
