Tempe Town Lake, a synthetic lake near Phoenix that has a capacity to hold up nearly 1 million gallon water, will likely to drop more than half of its water reserves after a ‘Rubberized’ dam broke open causing thousands of gallons of water flooding downstream into a dried up river bed.
According to the latest statement issued by the authorities, the almost 16-foot-high section of the dam on Tempe Town Lake burst at around 10 pm on Tuesday night causing two-third of its water gushing out; however, no immediate reports of any injuries among the local residents have been reported so far.
