Wales - A Welsh jewelry store owner said thieves who stole $11,000 in rings were caught after trying to sell one of the items at another location of the same store. Man robs shoe store with a rock

Washington - A man used a large rock to rob a Bellingham shoe store over the weekend, according to Bellingham police. The man walked into the Red Wing Shoes store, 117 Telegraph Road, at about 4 p.m. Saturday just as an employee was closing for the day. The man told the employee ?this is a robbery? and held a rock over the victim?s head. The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and walked out. Police were alerted to the robbery by a witness who was in the store?s parking lot. Within five minutes of receiving the 911 call several Bellingham police officers found and arrested a suspect.--...More

Barber Robs Store Over Bad Beef Jerky

Cleveland - Police say a Cleveland barber got so upset by what he considered bad beef jerky that he returned to the store where he bought it and tried to rob the owner. Police say the 28-year-old barber walked into the store where he bought the snack, just two doors down from his barbershop, and tried to rob the owner.
The owner told the man he recognized him and chased him outside with a baseball bat.

Pricey wine stolen, then returned to Mass. store

HOPKINTON, Mass. – A $20,000 bottle of wine stolen from a Hopkinton, Mass., liquor store has been returned unopened.

The bottle of 1945 Mouton Rothschild plus three other bottles of wine valued at $300 to $875 were stolen from Hopkinton Wine & Spirits last week.

Store security video had been shown on local television newscasts, and Boston police received a call Sunday from someone who recognized the suspect in the video.

The caller contacted the suspect, got the wine and turned it in to Boston police. They in turn contacted Hopkinton police, who returned the wine to the store owner.

There have been no arrests.

Store owner Clelland Johnson tells The MetroWest Daily News that he's just happy to have the wine back.
